Recertification Option

AWWS does not require recertification to remain a member; however, some insurance programs do and want to see proof of a new certification within the last 2 or 3 years, which is also proof that you are staying up to date on your education.  For this reason, we offer the option for those who need it.

To apply for recertification with a new certificate and current date, you will submit a report of two births you have attended that are verified by your client and a record of an approved continuing education classes that totals 15 hours, whether birth doula or postpartum/lactation. (pregnancy, labor, postpartum, mental health, parenting are possible topics)
